Based in Chicago, Illinois, Sandeep Mellacheruvu, MD, serves as a territory director with a nationwide enterprise that manages clinical trials. He facilitates activities in his region and evaluates patient education, engagement, and improvement. His responsibilities extend to community outreach, recruiting, and hiring principal investigators and research coordinators. Dr. Sandeep Mellacheruvu is also an associate dean of clinical sciences at the Windsor University School of Medicine, where he coordinates the work of clinical students in hospital rotations and clinical clerkships across the Chicago region.
Dr. Mellacheruvu earned his bachelor of medicine and surgery at the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India. He was a resident with the Kasturba Medical College Department of Anesthesiology in the early 2000s. He worked for four years as a resident MD at the University of Mississippi Medical Center Department of Psychiatry. Responsible for clinical evaluation, Dr. Mellacheruvu managed patients’ medical and psychological treatments and taught medical students and fellows.
